Mobi Banka accepts UnionPay payment cards

The acceptance of the Chinese national card in Serbia is the result of cooperation established between the National Bank of Serbia and UnionPay International.

"As pioneers in the digitalization of the banking sector, we are proud to have joined the UnionPay global card network. We thank the National Bank of Serbia for recognizing the potential of cooperation with UnionPay International and enabling the banking sector of Serbia to provide service to users of this card system", said Marija Popović, a member of the executive board of Mobi Banka.

The cards of this largest provider of bank card services in the world are accepted by over 28 million shops and more than 1.7 million ATMs worldwide.

"Acceptance of this card will be enabled on the entire network of the DinaCard system in Serbia, and we can thank the National Bank for that. In addition, we are looking forward to the next phase of the project and the creation of a joint Dina UnionPay contactless card, which will be able to be used in more than 175 countries", a member of the executive board of Mobi Banka explained.

Founded on March the 26th in the year 2002. China UnionPay is an association of the Chinese bank card industry, which operates with the approval of the National Bank of China. In 2015, UnionPay surpassed Visa and Mastercard in the total value of payment transactions made by users and became the largest card payment processing organization (debit and credit cards together) in the world that also offers mobile and online payment services.
